GridSpan™ SkylightsTranslucent FRP panel skylights.
Product Information
GridSpan™ translucent panel skylights feature a lightweight sandwich panel design with fiberglass reinforced polymer (FRP) face sheets that provide light and solar heat gain control. Their high thermal performance and unique grid pattern aesthetic make them a versatile design tool that’s customizable for a range of applications.
Systems are available in 2.75" and 4" configurations, and panels can be infilled with insulation for enhanced thermal performance in extreme climates (and thermal breaks are also available for both panels and framing). Specialty configurations for hurricane and blast protection, mixed glazed systems that integrate glass glazing, and more are also available.
Product Highlights
- Numerous standard shapes (pyramids, polygons, single slopes, ridges) as well as fully custom designs
- Standard or custom grid patterns allow for design flexibility
- FRP face sheet is available in a range of colors
- High-performance sealants protect against air and water infiltration, and built-in gutters on framing members provide moisture management
- Individual panels up to 5 feet wide and 20 feet long (depending on load requirements)
- Numerous finish options available – from clear anodize to custom color matching
- System can be unitized, allowing for the integration of glass glazing or louvers for a combination of light control, ventilation and views
- Backed by a 10-year material-workmanship warranty and up to 20-year color change warranties on the FRP face sheet

GridSpan™ Project Highlights
Frequently Asked Questions
Are the standard sizes and configurations for GridSpan skylights?
GridSpan skylights are custom built to your job’s specific requirements - but some standard configurations are single slopes, pyramids, ridges and polygons. Contact us with details about your project and we'll work with you to provide the right solution for your specific needs.
What glazing colors are available for GridSpan?
Standard colors are crystal, white, ice blue, aqua, tan and desert rose ( custom colors may be available, and colored insulation options are also available for added color options). Contact us to find out more.
How long can an individual glazing panel be in a GridSpan skylight?
Each individual panel can reach up to 20 feet long and up to 5 feet wide, though the overall length and amount of structural support needed will vary depending on where the project is located (wind loads, snow loads, etc.). Contact us for details related to your specific project.
How much do GridSpan systems weigh?
The general system weight is around 3lbs/ft2 – considerably less than traditional glass glazing, which allows for more design flexibility as they require less structural support.
