Product Information
Series 3500 dropout systems are gravity operated acrylic double dome, single leaf smoke vents. When a fire reaches in excess of 500 degrees F, the domes are designed to automatically drop out, allowing for hot gases and smoke to exit the building. In some cases, units can also be equipped with a fusible link that causes the domes to drop out when a certain temperature is achieved. Systems can also be used in conjunction with a facility’s fire suppression system.

If there's a fire and the glazing drops out, does the system need to be replaced?
No – Series 3500 replacement domes are available which keeps some of the framing intact. Contact us for details.
What finish options are available?
Series 3500 systems feature a mill finish as standard, with clear or bronze anodize and custom paint finishes available.
How do dropout systems release smoke and gas during a fire?
The glazing is designed to “drop out” when a certain temperature is reached, allowing gases and smoke to escape.
