Project Background

7,780 sq. ft. of QuadSpan™ translucent skylight system was incorporated into the renovation design for Allen High School in Texas. Renovated in 2015, the focus for the updated school was primarily on energy efficiency. Our system, specified in ice white matte and ice white glazing, and in a ridge configuration, allows for an abundance of natural uniform daylighting to diffuse into the space below, while minimizing glare and heat gain within the building.

From student to staff, everyone sees the benefits of natural light.

Studies show that students get better test scores, have better attendance and enjoy their surroundings more when they have access to natural light.

Daylighting Enhances Education-focused Spaces

By utilizing QuadSpan™ skylights, the facility now has a brightly lit and welcoming corridor, providing natural light that's diffused throughout the space and even into adjoining rooms.

And by avoiding harsh glare or heat caused by direct sunlight, students, teachers and staff can enjoy the space in comfort.
