Sabah Al Salem University City represents one of the largest higher education infrastructure projects in the Middle East. Spanning 6 million square meters southwest of Kuwait City, this ambitious campus was designed to consolidate the country's six dispersed university colleges into a single, unified location, ultimately hosting the entirety of Kuwait University's academic community.
The scale of the undertaking is reflected in the numbers: more than 300 units of Kingspan's Firelight 3 and Kameleon 5e daylighting and ventilation systems were supplied for this landmark government building, contributing to the natural illumination and climate performance of a campus built to serve over 40,000 students. As one of the region's flagship educational developments, the project combines large-scale glazed façades with advanced daylighting technology to support a modern, sustainable learning environment on an urban scale rarely seen in institutional architecture.
